Welcome to SAIS

SAIS Online Evaluation System

SAIS reports for Spring 2016 are now available here:

SAIS for Instructors

Please note! If you participated in Jennifer Morrow’s pilot study of new SAIS questions, those results will be available later this summer.

The Student Assessment of Instruction System (SAIS), a service of the University of Tennessee Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, provides for student evaluation of teaching at the University. SAIS operates by a mandate of the Faculty Senate. The evaluation instruments are based upon those originally developed by the University of Washington.

While SAIS developed as an in-class, scan form procedure, as of Fall 2011 all evaluations take place online. All SAIS responses are subject to the Tennessee Open Records Law. This applies to both structured and open-ended responses. Results of the assessment are provided to the instructors as well as published in the Student Government Association Tennessee 101.
